As there are more than a hundred wine tasting opportunities up there, I select what I consider to be the best of the best, the best tasting experiences and the best wines. The Hunter Valley is famous for Semillon and Shiraz but there is so much more. You may also be able to try Verdelho, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Viognier, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Barbera and Tempranillo. Then there are rosé, bubblies, ports and some wonderful dessert wines. If you are a lover of wine, I don't think you will be disappointed!
I also offer a completely flexible itinerary and if there is a particular winery you would like to visit, let me know at the time of booking or even on the way there and I will try to include that as part of the tour. As well, you might like to go behind the scenes and see how wine is made, taste some cheese, olives and chocolates and, who knows, we might even be able to find some kangaroos! And then there's the scenery . . .
Please remember that this is a boutique tour. I only run 3 days a week and I only take up to 10 people each day. Hopefully you'll be one of them . . .
Lunch
We visit the Hunter Valley Gardens for lunch where I recommend eating at my favourite café whose menu includes gourmet sandwiches, salads, burgers, pizzas and wonderful Aussie meat pies. This costs between $15 and $20 depending on what you order.
